Director Shankar had proved that he is also a good producer. He used to direct only mega budget movie. But he had produced a movie without any kind of grandiousness.

Balaji Sakthivel had earlier directed a film ‘Samurai’ with the star actor Vikram, is now directed this film without any actor with star value.

The story goes like this. The big dada of Madurai, Dhandapani’s loving daughter is Sandhya (New Introduction). She fall in love with an poor Mechanic (Barath). At the same time, Dhandapani makes arrangements for her marriage with a relative. The lovers ran away to Chennai. The dada group in Madurai was making all out efforts to get them. In Chennai, the lovers are staying in a mansion. The platform Toy vender Sukumar help the lovers to get married. At the same time, Madurai Dada group traces them to Chennai. The group comes to Chennai under the leadership of S.K. Moorthy, who is the younger brother of Sandhya’s father. S.K.Moorthy’s group assures the lovers that they will get them married in  Madurai in a grand manner and got them to Madurai. The turning point that accures there, and the Climax that follows, makes up the story.

Though the story is of ordinary nature, it has been total in an interesting manner. The reason is the screenplay. For this Balaji Sakthivel should be appreciated. In the scene, where the Dada group after getting them to their place and make the accept their proposal by threatening them with dire consequence, the action and the performer of the actors in this scene is fast paced. Following this, the climax which will melt anybody’s heart. Even after you have gone back to your home, the climax will be linger in your mind for sometime.

A few scene after the internal tests our patients and is the reason for the let up in the whole story, what is the compulsion for the actors to attend nature calls only at Mantions both room? The scene in which both of them are waiting in a dirty lane, and the scene in which the heroine fixes her carefree in a theatre bathroom are seems like thrust upon without valid reasons. The reception given to the lovers by, the mansion bachelors, can be considered as a good relaxation. And the scenes in which the future director in the mansion selects future actors are just hilarious. The lovers to pass a night alone goes to Devi theatre for night show, after that they got into a bus and goes to Thindivanam and come back in the morning the scene is differently good.

Bharath had transformed himself as the dirty clothed mechanic, A very good performance indeed. The way he slowly give him to the heroine in his policies are taken well and he had also acted nicely. The new entrant Sandhya it is highly surprising  to know that she is a new comer. Though her looks are ordinary, her performance is extraordinary. Her expressions showing youngish, bubbling, enthusiasm and happiness and naturalness in love scenes are just nice. At the same time she also excels in tragic scenes. In the scene where she cry after seeing her uncle with affection and the way brakes down when he saw the treatment meet out to her lover by her uncle are memorable performance to say the least. Dandapani and S.K.Moorthy had not only looked like real Dada’s but also acted  their part neatly. Sukumar, who is a look alike of Vadivelu was given a weighty role and he had used it properly. The small boy who acts as the assistant to Bharath, has also done his part well. In the scene where he would bring the tea and spit in it before giving, he had done his part well.

The new music director Joswa Sridhar’s songs are not bad. The Cinematography is just right and neat without any unnecessary ‘flashy’ works. For this L.T.Vijay Miltan should be appreciated. That to he had filmed his movie using only natural lights has to be mentioned here.
